On Sunday, we drove Scarlett up to Mt. Hood. If she could talk, she would've said, 'this mountain is HUGE'. Or maybe 'It's windy, I should be wearing a hat.'
We had lunch at Timberline Lodge and for the first time, Scarlett sat by herself in a restaurant, in a high chair, and played happily while we ate. She took turns chewing on a straw and throwing a spoon on the floor, which are REALLY fun games when you're 7 months old. We've been avoiding restaurants for a while because Scarlett wasn't quite able to sit up alone, but she also didn't want to be held, so she sat on our laps and squirmed around and nobody had a great time. But those days are over. Know what this means, Charlie? WE CAN GO OUT FOR SUSHI!!!!
We were joined by Grandma Diane, the aunt & uncle, and Scarlett's two favorite people in the world- her cousins Hope and Esther. The three girls wore matching outfits (Thanks Aunt Glory!).
Now that she can sit up, Scarlett is making all kinds of demands. For example, she insisted on driving home.
ok, so miss o'hara photographs well, but this shot of her "driving" is especially adorable!
ReplyDeleteSo jealous! One of my favorite places in the world. I think she's ready for the speedway.
ReplyDeleteShe's getting so big! Moses is here dying to meet her in person, pointing to the photos and saying, "Baby!"
