Things we are into lately:
1. Cousintime (above all else)
2. Climbing trees
3. Ninjas (frogs too, still. But ninjas the most)
4. "This is the first time I've done this since I was five!"
5. "You know another thing I haven't done since I was five?"

Oh yeah, so we went to Mt. Tabor and climbed trees with the cousins. But then the cousins had to go. So we just walked around, and she spotted this juggler. She shouted A JUGGLER and we ran over. And then, for 40 minutes, she was the juggler's helper. He would drop a ball, on purpose or by accident, and she'd chase after it. He tried to teach her to swat the balls away mid-air. She named the tennis balls Weirdy, Funny and Smarty. She laughed and he laughed too. She ran around and played in the sun. It's March, but sunny like summertime. I guess this is what happens.

Auction night
Charlie and I got dressed all fancy (thanks Lauren for the dress!) for Scarlett's school auction this week- Charlie was the Mad Hatter. I was just me, in Lauren's dress.

Scarlett, age 5
Dear Scarlett,
Your fifth birthday was an incredibly happy day, filled with laughter and art projects and so many people that we love.
Thank you for the best five years daddy and I have ever had.

Your fifth birthday was an incredibly happy day, filled with laughter and art projects and so many people that we love.
- We had an all-day, come whenever works for you party. We decorated ninja cookies with black icing and took ninja walks around the block to secure the perimeter. (it was 60 degrees!)
- Most your time was spent at a craft table, doing fuse bead projects. You had a slumber party, then woke up early and went back to the fuse bead table.
- You wore your new ninja costume pretty much all day. You were one of 4 or 5 ninjas at the party. Uncle Tom was a samurai, dressed in normal clothes. He walked in and poked you in the side, and you said "don't do that to me on my birthday."
- Daddy made deep dish pizza. We gave you a portable book light, the fuse beads, and a whole stack of new books.
